Wow, time flies. Can you also tell I’m running out of tips? No way I got more than 2-3 good tips left in me.
That’s why I’m asking YOU to send me your tips. What has worked well for you?
It can be tips for how to reduce your screen time, but I’m also interested in how people stay productive in general. At the end of the day, our goal is to help people achieve their goals in both their personal and professional lives, so any tips that help that are welcomed.
So come on people, I need all the help I can get!
Okay, now that I’m done begging you guys for more content ideas, let’s dive into today’s tip. It’s a simple one.
Tuesday Tip #8: make your wallpaper boring as hell. Aka make your background just black.
No more background pictures of cute dogs, aesthetic landscapes, or of you and bae. Every time you look at your phone, I want an empty void of blackness staring right back at you.
How to do this: 1) Go to Google images and type in “black iPhone background” 2) hit save image 3) make that image your wallpaper
Yep, that’s it. I’m surprised it took me 8 weeks to recommend this one because I’ve been doing this for almost a year now, and I really think it works. It just makes your phone less enticing to continually look at if there is nothing there to see.
Even when we don’t have a notification waiting for us, sometimes a cool background is enough of a consolation prize to make it seem like it wasn’t a total waste checking our phone, when it totally was a giant, huge, massive waste of time.
Now, if your wallpaper background is currently a picture of you and your significant other, you might get some flack from your boyfriend/girlfriend. That’s why I’m supplying everyone in that situation with one of these so you don’t get in trouble:
There. I’m deeming that official legal tender in any relationship dispute that might arise from you changing your wallpaper background. Now none of you have any excuses.
